• Google’s AI assistant Gemini now integrates with:

  • Calendar, Drive, Docs, Maps, YouTube

  • On Android: also works with Spotify, WhatsApp, OpenStax, Photos

🆕 New Features Rolling Out

• A new app version is now hitting devices after being previewed last month (spotted by 9to5Google).

• Two major upgrades have been added:

📸 1. Smarter Photo Search

• Gemini can now search your backed-up images for:

  • Faces, locations, and dates

• You can use prompts like:

  • “Show recent selfies”

  • “Find photos of landscapes”

🕵️‍♂️ 2. Deep Photo Intelligence

• You can now ask very specific questions, like:

  • “Where did I eat vegan food in Lisbon?”

  • “What’s the license plate of the Ferrari I saw in Bergamo?”

• Results open in the Google Photos app, with a ‘Show more’ button for details.

⚙️ How to Enable Google Photos in Gemini

• Open the Gemini Android app

• Tap the Profile Menu (top-right)

• Go to Apps > Media, then enable Google Photos

• It appears alongside Spotify and YouTube

• ⚠️ Currently only available in the U.S. and rolling out gradually.
